I am a veteran teacher with 26 years of experience. I began my tenure in the inner-city school system of St. Paul, MN, but as much as I enjoyed life in the city, I missed my family and hometown. I moved back to the U.P. and have been teaching with the Norway-Vulcan Area Schools for 20 years. I graduated from Northern Michigan University with a bachelor's degree in English. I also have a major in social studies and a minor in sociology, and most of my graduate work has been in the area of curriculum.
I am married with two children. My husband, Michael, is an attorney, and our son Gabe is in 12th grade and Zach is a junior at NMU. We enjoy many hobbies, especially camping, skiing, and traveling. I am blessed to be a part of the Norway staff and look forward to learning as much from my students as they learn from me.
